Our Staff

A nursery is only as good as its staff…..so at Little Legend we choose our staff carefully. Qualifications are important to us, but so is experience, warmth, and a sense of humour.

We expect all our staff to engage children's inquisitiveness and imagination in skilful and sensitive ways. Opportunities for children's learning abound everyday in our nursery and our staff are expected to provide play opportunities, resources which are appropriate to the level of competence and maturity of the child. 

We work with external organisations to ensure that we keep up to date with current 'best practice' and are capable of offering the highest quality of service to the children in our care.

Our senior management team has accumulated over fifty year’s worth of experience in childcare:

Our company founder has over ten years operational management experience of Children's Centres.

Our Performance Director has over twelve years experience of working with children and specialises in supporting children with additional needs.

Our Deputy Nursery Manager has over ten years of experience and is trained to level three NVQ in early years. 

Our pre-school lead has worked in nurseries for over ten years and is a former Nursery Manager.

One of our senior practitioners has 16 years experience of working in a nursery and is qualified to a level five (Foundation Degree in Childhood Studies).

One of our baby room practitioners is qualified to level six (degree level) in early childhood studies.

Everyone applying for a job in our nursery will be observed working with children during the interview phase of their recruitment, and we only hire people with the same philosophy and commitment to quality as us.
